Contrary to popular belief, my first name is Solal and my last name is Nathan.
I am currently a PhD Student in the A&O team at the LISN (previously LRI), which is also the
TAU (previously TAO) team at
Inria. My thesis is titled Recommending Jobs in Congested Markets: Design, Fairness, and Market-Level Effects in Public Employment and it started in January 2023. I am interested in AI for social good, fairness, job recommender systems, congestion avoidance, optimal transport, and much more! I work under the supervision of
Michèle Sebag and
Philippe Caillou in the
Vadore project. The recommender system we built there is being evaluated with France Travail in a large-scale randomised controlled trial, of which I am one of the investigators (
AEA registry). The manuscript is with the reviewers and the defence is planned for autumn 2026; the date will be announced here.
